Introduction:
The motto and mission of Sarada Kalyan Bhandar (SKB) has been greatly influenced
with the traditional culture and Indian heritage."Sarada Kalyan Bhandar has all its
perennial sources of inspiration in the ideal life of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa
Dev, Sri Sri Sarada Devi and Srimat Swami Vivekananda – Trinity of love, renunciation
and service. The dynamic message of Swami Vivekananda, the prophet of modern
India – “Atmano Mokshartho Jagadhitaya cha” inspired the founder members and the
charitable trust was formally formed on 14th July, 1984. “Sarada Kalyan Bhandar”-
derives its name from the sacred life of Shri Shri Sarada Devi, ideal wife of Sri Sri
Ramkrishna Paramhansa Deva, who became divine mother of all, irrespective of caste,
creed and religion."She is an epitome of endless love, affection and kindness.
Sarada Kalyan Bhandar is an all women voluntary organization working for"youth,
women, children and uncared old ladies in the field of education, nutrition, health care
and environmental awareness. Its field of activities is mainly within rural communities
since its inception.

Motivation:
- Clarion call by Revered Swami Vireswaranandaji Maharaj, the 10th President of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math for dedicating oneself for the welfare of poor community.
- Illiteracy among rural masses.
- Women emancipation.
- Raise voice against victimization of women in the society.
- Protect negligence of Girl child.
- Support old uncared ladies.
Pertinent Details:
- Beneficiaries: Youth, Women, Children and old uncared ladies.
- Income bracket: Rs.500 - 5000 per month.
- Primary occupation: Farming, brick field worker, daily labour, godown coolie, rickshaw puller, etc.
Main Charter:
- Support financially needy meritorious students of rural areas for their higher education from Higher Secondary to Postgraduate including Professionals.
- Improve non-formal education of children coming from backward rural community from Nursery to Class X
- Arrange regular health camp and medical survey.
- Organize Health care and Nutrition programme.
- Care for orphan children.
- Encourage women and girl child education.
- Care of old distressed mothers.
- Spread legal and social awareness among rural community.
- Organize relief work in times of national calamity.
- Give medical coverage to youth, women, children and old ladies.
- Develop a value - based healthy society.
Sarada Kalyan Bhandar (SKB), a non-profitable charitable voluntary woman organization, is rendering service to the youth, women and children of rural India in the field of Education, Nutrition, Health and Environment.
SKB is carrying out its mission of “Nourish and Educate to Elevate The Underprivileged”, through its six projects namely
